As part of the annual Game Awards celebration, Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 4 has received its first official gameplay. Following a teaser released during Summer Games Festthis new trailer offers players their first real look at the new looter shooter game.
In one of the few confirmed appearances at The Game Awards 2024, Gearbox’s Borderlands 4 has made its explosive debut. After a disappointing predecessor, the new first-person RPG is back, but can it capture the brilliance of the series’ first and second games?

Released on Xbox Series, PS5 and PC, via Steam this timethe new Borderlands 4 trailer picks up immediately after the events of the teaser trailer. Players will emerge as a more mutated, tougher version of Pandora after the end of the previous game and take up arms against a new villain as the all-out battle for the world begins.
In addition to the advanced moves from the previous game, players can utilize an entirely new cast of characters. Additionally, the evening movement has been further expanded with a new grappling hook that allows players to quickly close the distance against enemies.
Gearbox confirmed that in the story, players will fight to free Pandora from the Timekeeper, a “ruthless dictator who dominates the masses from above.”
“Ignite a resistance and blast your way through mechanical monstrosities, bloodthirsty bandits and vicious beasts. Gather an arsenal of deadly firepower to wreak havoc as you blast your way through Kairos,” reads the game synopsis. “Fight solo or in co-op with up to three other players in this immense sci-fi adventure, packed with free-form combat and exploration, nail-biting boss battles, infinitely varied loot drops and an eclectic cast of unforgettable new characters. and old.”
Borderlands 4 will be released sometime in 2025 for the Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 and PC.
